Ex-BioShock dev's The Black Glove fails to meet its Kickstarter goal

"We're pursuing all options."

Surrealistic sci-fi adventure The Black Glove has failed to meet its $550K Kickstarter goal, ending with $216,517.

We've covered The Black Glove before, as it was the work of roughly a dozen ex-BioShock devs and its early 20th century inspired art bore more than a passing resemblance to Bioshock's lavish noir setting - particularly the Fort Frolic stage depicting a crazed musician and his bunny mask-wearing paper mache corpses.

The Black Glove is set in a theatre of the absurd called The Equinox where an otherworldly 80s arcade game haunts the premises and you travel back through time to influence various artists' work.

"We mean to fight like hell to keep it from being cancelled. We believe in the game and you all have shown you do, too," said Day For Night's Joe Fielder in a Kickstarter update. "We're pursuing all options. We're beginning to talk to all the publishers who have reached out over the last few weeks. We have a few other ideas, as well."

Towards the end of its campaign, Day For Night added the promise of a PS4 version and Oculus Rift support for The Black Glove. Here's its initial pitch video:
