NES Duck Hunt headed to Wii U Virtual console

In celebration of Smash Bros. appearance.

1987 NES classic Duck Hunt will soon be available to buy from the Wii U eShop, Nintendo has confirmed.

It will be the first Virtual Console outing for Nintendo's lightgun classic, and coincides with its star appearance in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U.

Duck Hunt's shooting controls have been remapped to the Wii Remote, although its unknown what other control methods will be available.

Regardless, you'll be able to test them via Smash Bros. for Wii U's selection of Virtual Console demos.

There's no word yet on a final release date.
