Amazon Fire TV now available to buy in the UK

Amazon Fire TV, the company's media streaming box for your telly, is now available to buy in the UK for £79.

Popcorn not included.

New and existing Amazon Prime members can get a Fire TV for the reduced price of £49 for the next five days.

Games announced for the device include Minecraft's Pocket Edition and Telltale's The Walking Dead series, although you'll need the Amazon Fire Game Controller (£34.99, available 23rd October) to play.

The box will also stream Netflix, Amazon Prime Instant Video (surprise surprise), Spotify, Sky News, YouTube and Demand 5.

You can also use the device to fling content from Kindle Fire HDX tablets to your TV screen, allowing you to use your tablet for other things.
