Destiny's Ghost takes the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Nominates The Last of Us' Joel, digital Kevin Spacey and George Lucas.

Last week Warframe developer Digital Extremes had a couple of its armored space soldiers take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in addition to the studio donating $10K to ALS research. It concluded its act by nominating three other video game characters to take the plunge: Halo's Master Chief, Borderlands' Claptrap, and Destiny's Ghost.

The first two have yet to step up, but Bungie created the following video of a wizard launching an ice bucket at Ghost all the way from the moon.

Additionally, several Bungie staffers are donating to the cause and 20 per cent of all proceeds from the Bungie Store between now and 9th September will go to the ALS Association to fund research for a cure to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, aka Lou Gerhig's Disease.

Bungie ended its video with the moon-based wizard challenging The Last of Us' Joel, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's Jonathan Irons (i.e. digital Kevin Spacey), and George Lucas.

Previous industry figures that have taken the Ice Bucket Challenge include Gears of War lead designer Cliff Bleszinski and Xbox head honcho Phil Spencer.

The Warframe video started this trend of fictional characters taking the Ice Bucket Challenge. Warframe is also coming to Xbox One next week on 2nd September.Watch on YouTube
