Freedom Wars gets European release date, pre-order DLC

A brand new game for PlayStation Vita.

PlayStation Vita action RPG Freedom Wars finally has an official UK release date - Friday 31st October. It costs £24.99.

Developed by Sony's Japan Studio, Freedom Wars first launched in its native country back in June - to a warm reception and the second-highest ever launch sales for a Vita title (behind God Eater 2).

Freedom Wars' new date, detailed today on the EU PlayStation blog, is accompanied by details of the game's European pre-order DLC offering.

Pre-order now at a participating retailer and you'll get all the same stuff that arrived alongside the game in Japan - a limited edition in-game costume and sticker set, plus upgraded starter weapons and medical supplies.

Those who purchase the game's digital version will also get the pre-order DLC if they buy the game at any time prior to 11th November.

Freedom Wars is set in a harsh future where prisoners, condemned all too easily, must fight hybrid robot monsters in order to stay alive. Local multiplayer is supported for up to four players, while up to eight can band together when playing online.
