This is how Minecraft looks running on PlayStation Vita

You've got to hand it to them.

Sony has released new footage of Minecraft's upcoming Vita Edition, which shrinks the wildly popular sandbox title down for portable play.

There's still no firm date for the Vita port (or the upcoming PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions), but all three are expected to be released before the end of August.

Minecraft's console developer 4J Studios finished bug-fixing the game's PS4 version two days ago, according to a message posted via its official Twitter account. Work on debugging the Vita and Xbox One editions is still ongoing, however.

Minecraft on Vita will be a Cross-Buy title with the game's PS3 version. You can then upgrade to the PS4 edition for a small fee (around £4). The same upgrade option will also be available for those wishing to move from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One version.
