The Swapper is coming to Wii U later this year

Will look more like the PS4 version than the PS3 one.

Heady sci-fi puzzler The Swapper is coming to Wii U later this year, port developer Curve Studios has announced.

The spooky stop-motion game was released last year on PC, Mac and Linux and is heading to PS4, PS3 and Vita on 6th August where it will be a Cross-Buy affair.

Curve noted in a Twitter reply about the Wii U port that "In terms of visuals and fps, it's much closer to the PS4 version than the PS3."

The Swapper was very well received upon its initial release. Our Chris Donlan praised it as a puzzle game, though he was equally impressed by its clever writing by FTL and Driver: San Francisco scribe Tom Jubert. "The intrinsic bone-chill of The Swapper ultimately comes from the things it does in your own mind - the way it encourages you to see yourself as a disposable resource, the way it pushes you towards a thousand casual betrayals where individual vessels are sacrificed," Donlan wrote in his glowing The Swapper review.
