Battlefield 4: Dragon's Teeth DLC release date confirmed

New patch adds VOIP for Xbox One Commander Mode.

The Dragon's Teeth expansion for Battlefield 4 will be deployed as soon as next week, developer DICE has announced.

Premium members will be able to download the pack from 15th July, while non-Premium members can get access from 29th July, a new blog post has confirmed.

Those dates tally with a hastily-deleted message posted to and then pulled from the official EA Origin Twitter account last week.

DICE has also been busy with a new round of Battlefield 4 patches, available now on every platform.

Xbox One owners are now able to voice chat with teammates playing on tablet devices while using Battlefield 4's Commander Mode, which offers a top-down view of the action.

A new competitive Obliteration mode has also been added for all platforms, which sees you racing to defuse bombs.

When it launches, Dragon's Teeth will include four new multiplayer maps set in dense Asian Pacific cities, and revolves around urban warfare. The maps are Lumphini Garden, Pearl Market, Propaganda and Sunken Dragon.

Also included are five new weapons, the new Ballistic shield gadget, the RAWR heavily armoured remotely operated ground vehicle and the new Chain Link game mode, in which you need to link together capture points to win.
