Payday 2 heading to PS4 and Xbox One
Crimewave Edition is "the ultimate Payday experience".
Payday 2 is coming to new-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One in a fancily named Crimewave Edition of the game.
It has "enhanced features and a stash of new bonus content" that adds up to "the ultimate Payday experience", a press release read.
Exactly what's different in the Crimewave Edition, particularly in relation to the existing PC game, isn't specified. That news is to come.
Payday is a shooter based around being a thief, and completing various villainous missions around that premise. There's an offline option but all the fun is online, where Payday 2 becomes "a fantastically entertaining multiplayer game", we wrote in our review.
It's made by Swedish studio Overkill, which rose in 2009 from the ashes of developer Grin. Swedish studio Starbreeze (Riddick, The Darkness) bought Overkill in 2012.
