The Crew gets a release date

And a closed beta, starting next month.

The Crew, Ubisoft's open-world online racing game for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, will be released on 11th November, it was announced at the French publisher's E3 press conference today. (That may mean 14th November in Europe.)

Creative director Julian Gerighty also announced that the game's closed beta will begin on July 23rd. You can sign up for a chance of joining in at thecrewgame.com/beta.

A new, moody time-lapse trailer was shown, showcasing a single, two-hour mission that takes you all the way from Miami to Los Angeles - check it out below.

I tried out the game in Paris a couple of months ago and rather enjoyed myself. Read my impressions in our The Crew preview.
