The "Denpa" Men 3: The Rise of Digitoll announced for the west

UPDATE: Release date set for early May in Europe and North America.

UPDATE 24/04/2013: The "Denpa" Men 3: The Rise of Digitol is now confirmed for an 8th May release in Europe and North America, the developer announced on the game's Facebook page.

The official "Denpa" Men 3 site noted the demo will be available come 1st May.

ORIGINAL STORY 07/03/2013: The "Denpa" Men 3: The Rise of Digitoll, the third outing in Genius Sonority's peculiar AR dungeon crawling "Denpa" series, is coming to European and North American 3DS eShops in May.

This latest iteration of the series will be priced at €9.99 / $9.99, and a demo for The "Denpa" Men 3 will be available in May.

For those unfamiliar with the "Denpa" games, they're turn-based dungeon-crawling RPGs in which you build up an army of elf-like sprites that you collect by bringing your 3DS into new networks and scanning QR codes. In other words, like Boktai before it, these "Denpa" games want you to poke about in the world.

The Rise of Digitoll will allows players to transfer their "Denpa" men from the first two games into this third outing. Additionally, you'll be able to customise your "Denpa" mens' houses, share your captured critters, trade items, and pit your "Denpas" against those belonging to other players.

Eurogamer's Chris Donlan was quite taken by the first "Denpa" men adventure, They Came by Wave. "The Denpa Men is characterful, challenging and genuinely charming," he wrote in his The "Denpa" Men review.
