Large-scale Elder Scrolls Online public beta this weekend

On a related note, we have 1400 beta keys to give away!

UPDATE 27/02/2014: Thanks to everyone who signed up for a key! We have now sent them all out. Even better, we had so many submissions that Bethesda gave us some extra keys, so we sent out around 2700 in total. If you got one, enjoy the beta!

ORIGINAL STORY: Bethesda Softworks has announced that a large-scale public beta test for its ambitious MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online will take place this weekend.

Pfft. Khajiit or GTFO.

The public beta will start at 5pm GMT this Friday, 28th February, and run until 4.59am GMT on Monday 3rd March.

Want in? Well, good news then, because Bethesda has also sent over 1400 beta keys for us to give away to you guys so you can try it out.

To avoid a stampede and give everyone an equal chance to get in on the beta, we are running a sweepstake for the keys. Submit your email address in the form below and on Thursday afternoon we will randomly select 1400 people to receive a key and mail them out with instructions. (We will not keep your email addresses after this.)

If you're not up to date on The Elder Scrolls Online, check out Oli Welsh's recent report on the beta version.

The full game is due out for PC and Mac on 4th April, with PS4 and Xbox One versions due out in June.
