The final Borderlands 2 DLC has a release date

Sir Hammerlock vs. the Son of Crawmerax due in April.

Borderlands 2 publisher 2K Games has announced a release date and price for the game's final add-on, Sir Hammerlock Versus the Son of Crawmerax.

The download will be available on 15th April for Steam and Xbox 360, and a day later on PlayStation 3 in Europe.

Like the game's other bite-size Headhunter DLCs, Sir Hammerlock Versus the Son of Crawmerax costs £2.39/$2.99/€2.99.

2K says it'll be "the biggest Headhunter add-on in the series" and see returning characters Brick, Crazy Earl, Mordecai and Lilith on a relaxing vacation - until you encounter Crawmerax Jr., the son of the giant enemy crab worm from original Borderlands DLC The Secret Armory of General Knoxx.

Sir Hammerlock vs. the Son of Crawmerax is the game's ninth story add-on, and follows this week's Valentines Day-themed launch Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre.

With this released, you'd think the series would be given a relaxing break of its own - but The Walking Dead developer Telltale Games is currently cooking up a new episodic spin-off series, Tales from the Borderlands.
