Bayonetta 2 producer moans of "pedantic port-begging" from fans

"We heard you. We get it."

The producer of Wii U exclusive Bayonetta 2 has taken to Twitter to share how he feels about "pedantic port-begging fans".

Platinum Games' JP Kellams wrote that he now "hates" posting anything about the game on Facebook due to the torrent of responses from fans asking for the game to release on other formats.

"I hate posting anything Bayonetta 2 on our Facebook," he wrote (thanks, Nintendo Life). "Not because I hate Bayonetta 2, but because I hate the pedantic port-begging.

"It's been over a year since we announced. We heard you. We get it. We are just happy that we get to make Bayonetta 2 for the patient fans."

Patient fans that own a Wii U, that is.

The original Bayonetta launched for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in early 2010. For a while it looked like a sequel would never be made - until Nintendo stepped in.

Unlike other Wii U exclusives that have ended up releasing on other platforms, Bayonetta 2 will likely remain exclusive to Nintendo's system - the Japanese platform holder is closely overseeing its development, although is not involved in a creative role.

Bayonetta 2 is currently due to launch sometime in 2014.
