PS4 will allow real name online profiles at launch

The Xbox One will add this feature later.

PlayStation 4 owners will be able to use their real name rather than a made up handle when they go online at launch, Kotaku reports.

Of course, this is only an option. Some people prefer the anonymity of using an alias, while others prefer to stick to their real name if only to make it a lot easier to figure out who's who when you get a friend request or want to compare trophies.

Conversely, the Xbox One will not support the use of real name online handles at launch, though Microsoft plans to add this feature as an update.
