Microsoft demos Xbox One's new Friends app

Do you Follow?

Xbox One's redesigned Friends interface has been shown off in a fresh video, highlighting the console's social feed, profile pages and new Follow functionality.

Microsoft mouthpiece Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb has updated his blog with a runthrough of the new features in video form, viewable below.

A new Feed screen shows text-based updates of what games and apps your friends have started using. Using Kinect, you can command the Feed to snap to the right-hand side of the screen, giving you real-time text updates as to what your friends are doing while you play.

The ability to "appear offline" has been promoted to a button on your profile editing screen, along with the ability to set your gamerpic, change your gamertag and alter your privacy settings.

Friends can be added as Favourites for easy access to their profiles, and - as previously revealed - you will now be able to Follow people, Twitter-style.
