There's a James Pond: Codename Robocod remake

Separate to the Kickstarter. Koi carpe diem.

You wait 20 years then two come along at once...

Hot on the heels of the news that James Pond creator Chris Sorrell plans to launch a Kickstarter campaign for a new game in the popular early 90s platformer series, we've got an announcement of a James Pond: Codename Robocod remake for pretty much every video game platform known to man.

UK publisher System 3 plans to remake James Pond: Codename Robocod for iOS, Android, PS Vita, 3DS, Wii U, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Steam and Windows 8 (phew!) for release in early 2014.

The remake retains the cartoon graphics of the original game, but with updates visuals.

Meanwhile, today, 20th September, at 12pm, Sorrell launches his Kickstarter for a new James Pond game.

Sounds like we'll have competing Ponds. Fight!
