At least 80 per cent of proceeds from new SimCity DLC to go to Red Cross

Red Cross Relief Centre and two vehicles respond to natural disasters.

EA will donate part of the money generated by sales of new SimCity downloadable content to the Red Cross.

Those who buy the £7.99 DLC will get Red Cross relief centres, which will provide in-game emergency services when a natural disaster strikes. EA will give a minimum of 80 per cent of proceeds to the Red Cross.

The DLC includes a Red Cross Relief Centre and two vehicles that travel around your city in response to natural disasters. When a meteor strikes, an earthquake occurs or a tornado touches down, Red Cross tents will appear in various locations throughout a city. Sims that would have been critically injured are instead cared for at the Red Cross tents.

As the city recovers from the natural disaster, the tents will disappear. Each disappearing tent will then release 10 healthy Sims back into a city. This is all in addition to the protection ambulances, fire trucks and police cars offer.
