Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD announced

Headed to PSN and XBLA for Halloween.

3DS adventure Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate is being re-released in HD for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The new version will be available as a download from PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade on 31st October, publisher Konami announced on the game's official Facebook page.

Lords of Shadow series boss Dave Cox added on Twitter that Konami was "seriously looking into" a PC version but there were "no plans" for a Vita release.

Mirror of Fate was released in March this year to a decent - if unspectacular reception. The game is a direct sequel to the first Lords of Shadow, the Castlevania series reboot that arrived on PS3 and Xbox 360 back in 2010.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 - set in the modern world - is due to arrive for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in November, meanwhile.
