David Jaffe working on MotorGun, another car combat game

Kickstarter launched.

Twisted Metal co-creator David Jaffe's next project is Kickstarter hopeful MotorGun, a car combat game for PC and Mac.

Jaffe will aid in the project's creative development, while the leg-work will be undertaken by key team members from 1990s racer Interstate '76.

MotorGun's crowdfunding drive launched last night and has so far raised $27,257 of its $650,000 goal with 30 days to go.

The game will boast real-world car physics and 20 vehicles for three warring factions. It's set in a post-apocalyptic future where drivers play Convoy, Capture Flag and Salvage in the desert all day.

Jaffe and co. want your money, obviously, but they also want to hear your feedback on the game made so far - backers will be able to talk with developers via the game's private forum, take part in live Q&A sessions and vote on creative decisions as a community.

Stretch goals, should the project exceed its $650,000 total, will include single-player campaigns and new modes.
