Pretty new Wolfenstein: The New Order screenshots stamp in

Heil be damned.

Bethesda's slopped out a batch of screenshots from MachineGames' only-just-announced Wolfenstein: The New Order.

The visuals won't knock you off your feet but they're of crisp resolution and could even be from a next-gen console build of the game, or PC.

An accompanying fact sheet regurgitated the planned Q4 2013 release on PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and "next-generation consoles". It's running on id Tech 5.

The plot synopsis mentioned battling, single-handedly, a high-tech Nazi regime and taking control of super-weapons that have "conquered the earth - and beyond".

Mountain-top car chases were name-dropped, as were underwater exploration and player-controlled Nazi war machines. It sounds like you'll be able to collect Nazi research to upgrade your weapons with as well.

Oh, and Wolfenstein: The New Order will be a "thrilling adventure weaved together into a tightly paced, super-immersive game narrative", naturally.
