Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation bug corrupting saves, users report

Hours of progress lost? You're Aveline a laugh.

A major bug in Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation is corrupting save files, users have reported.

A thread on the official Ubisoft forum has seen dozens of players report the issue, which has collectively caused hundreds of gameplay hours to go down the drain.

Affected players are left trapped in a Animus loading screen when trying to boot the game, unable to re-enter the game world.

"Sorry for the problems you are having," Ubisoft's UK forum manager Mr_Shade said in response. "Please do contact Ubisoft support directly - they can help solve the issue - or forward details to the team working on it!"

Eurogamer has contacted Ubisoft for an update on the issue. We expect to hear more soon.

Footage of the bug lies below.
