UPDATE: Sega has told Eurogamer it'll take up to 24 hours for shops to list Anarchy Reigns for sale at the mentioned £20.

The announcement of the Anarchy Reigns Day One Edition was sent to retailers as well as press today and so it's taking time for them to update their websites with the new information and cost.

UPDATE: Sega has announced the Anarchy Reigns Day One Edition, which includes Bayonetta as a playable character.

Bayonetta is the stiletto-wearing witch from Platinum Games' brilliant 2010 action game, also published by Sega.

The Day One Edition also includes two multiplayer modes, Mad Survival and Dogfight. Mad Survival sees a team of three players fight waves of enemies who are other playable characters from the game. In Dogfight you hang from a helicopter and shoot other players who also hang from helicopters. Really.

As for Bayonetta, she uses her guns, called Scarborough Fair and her Wicked Weave attacks fans of her game will be familiar with.

After a will-it-won't-it come out over here saga Sega confirmed the third-person multiplayer brawler's UK release date of 11th January 2013. On these shores it costs £19.99.
