Sony unveils new 84 inch 4K HDTV

Contains four times the resolution of other HDTVs and ten speakers.

Earlier today Sony revealed an 84 inch HDTV with four times the resolution of today's top television sets.

Due later this year, the Bravia KD-84X9005 has an insane resolution of (3840 x 2160) and will be able to upconvert existing shows, movies and photographs. It also comes equipped with ten speakers, creating a virtual 5.1 surround sound field.

No price has been announced, but we reckon it will probably cost at least four figures and a kidney or two.

Now, can you imagine playing Journey on that set? Oh my!
