SSX multiplayer mode teased by EA Sports

A new simultaneous multiplayer mode for SSX has been teased by EA.

The addition will allow for at least five players to dive from the game's starting helicopter at the same time. Other racers are shown as ghost-like holograms, a bit like in Star Wars.

SSX currently only includes asynchronous racing, with leaderboards and challenges similar to Criterion's Need for Speed Autolog service.

A video showing off the new mode appeared over the weekend on the EA Sports YouTube channel. Watch it below.

The new multiplayer mode is "still classified information", according to the official description of the trailer. Stand by for EA to stop faffing about and unveil the mode properly soon.
