Transformers: Fall of Cybertron demo due next week

Or even earlier for US folk who pre-order at GameStop.

A demo for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is due on 31st July on XBLA and PSN, Activision has announced.

The demo consists of two single-player missions, competitive multiplayer action, and a taste at the game's Transformer customisation options.

Additionally, US players can snag the demo as early as today by pre-ordering the game at GameStop.

The game was developed by High Moon studios, the team behind such Transformers titles as the well regarded War for Cybertron and the less well regarded Dark of the Moon. It will be handling the Deadpool game next.

Christian Donlan said of Dark of the Moon, "High Moon should have been given a little more time - and a lot more freedom - to play with their toys than they received for this outing. Hopefully, if we ever head back to Cybertron, the team will get another chance to show us what it can really do," is his 5/10 review.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is due out on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on 24th August in the UK, and 21st August in the US.
