Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 theme composed by Trent Reznor

I wanna frag you like an animal.

Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor is scoring the theme to Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

This information was revealed in an interview with USA Today where Reznor explained his approach to writing the theme.

"There is a lot of reservation and angst and sense of loss and regret and anger bubbling under the surface. So it didn't make sense to have a gung ho, patriotic feeling theme song. It has to feel weighty. There is a lot of remorse and apprehension here. So choosing to arrange it a bit more with guitars and drums and aggressively sounding, that struck a tone with them."

Reznor has previously worked on such videogames as Quake and Doom 3 with id Software before winning an Academy Award for his soundtrack to David Fincher's The Social Network.

The rest of Black Ops 2's soundtrack is composed by Jack Wall, who scored the first two Mass Effect titles.

In other Black Ops 2 news, Activision has released a new trailer detailing the game's antagonist Raul Menendez. Check out lots of things exploding below.
