Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD Collection arrives this Winter

Dragon Ball Z for Kinect release date set for October.

An anthology containing Dragon Ball Z: Budokai and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 will be released as the Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD Collection this Winter on Xbox 360 and PS3, publisher Namco Bandai has announced.

Developed by Dimps, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai came out in 2002 to middling reviews, while its second sequel released in 2004 received greater praise.

"With its intense gameplay and thrilling fight action, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 went on to become the highest rated Dragon Ball Z title on Metacritic, a position it retains to this day," said Namco, referring to its aggregate score of 77.

There's oddly no mention of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2.

In related news, developer Spike Chunsoft's forthcoming Dragon Ball Z for Kinect now has an official release date of 5th October in Europe.

The game will include the "Episode of Bardock" episode of the show that was never available in Europe, as well as feature Bardock Super Saiyan as a playable character for the first time in a game.
