One Piece: Pirate Warriors release date announced

Sets sail for September.

Manga-inspired One Piece: Pirate Warriors is coming to Europe on 21st September for PlayStation 3, publisher Namco Bandai has announced.

Developed by Dynasty Warriors creators Omega Force and Tecmo Koei Games, the cel-shaded One Piece: Pirate Warriors looks to follow in that series' footsteps with large scale battles against armies of foes. Only this time you play as a boy with an elastic body.

The game will support both online and local co-op, and Namco promises Pirate Warriors will be faithful to the original One Piece manga by Eiichiro Oda. It will be available in both retail and digital formats.
