UK Top 40: Ghost Recon holds on to number one

Resistance: Burning Skies in at 12.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is the UK's number one game for the second week running despite a 35 per cent reduction in sales.

Rockstar's Max Payne 3, down 39 per cent, holds fast in second. FIFA 12 is the new number three, pushing Capcom's open world fantasy RPG Dragon's Dogma down to fourth.

Dirt Showdown falls to number seven as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Sniper Elite V2 occupy fifth and sixth place respectively. Battlefield 3 is your new number eight. FIFA Street is number nine and Prototype 2 slips to 10.

PS Vita shooter Resistance: Burning Skies debuts at number 12 - a decent effort given digital sales are not included in the UK all formats chart. The last Resistance handheld game, Resistance: Retribution, topped the PlayStation Portable chart in 2009 but failed to impact the top 40.
