Meanwhile, Capcom promised that DLC will not be distributed "on disc", as was the case with the controversial console version. Instead, patches will be distributed that will add the content for all users as it's finalised on PC. The content will be patched in to everyone for free, with the paid content initially locked. To use it, you'll have to buy an unlock key.

Elsewhere, Capcom confirmed that the only difference between the PC and console versions of the crossover fighting game are that support for different resolutions, full screen mode, keyboard support and a benchmark tool have been added. There is no DirectX 11 support, but there is support for NVidia 3D vision.

The game uses Games for Windows Live copy protection and a one-time online key activation, by way of DRM. You can pre-order now from Steam, Origin, GameFly, GamersGate and GameStop. A physical retail version will be released in Europe.
