Stargate Atlantis star inadvertently confirms Army of Four

Chest bump.

Stargate Atlantis star Joe Flanigan has inadvertently confirmed the existence of Army of Four.

Flanigan, who played Major Lt. Colonel John Sheppard in the sci-fi show, is doing voice over work for the unannounced EA game, according to his Twitter page.

"Just signed on to do the new AO4 video game for Electronic Arts," he tweeted. "Some splinter from Battlefield. Finally, my kids think I am cool again."

Then, correcting his mistake: "Actually, showing how distinctively uncool I am, I think I have those games mixed up. Thankgod my kids don't read twitter."

Late last year a report claimed Army of Four features four-player co-op (hence the name) and was being developed using DICE's Battlefield 3 engine, Frostbite 2.

It is in development at Visceral Montreal, the studio EA Montreal became following a recent reorganisation.

Army of Four is in fact the third game in the co-op shooter series, and news of its existence comes as little surprise. In April EA called for a senior producer and lead environment artist "for the Army of Two franchise" to join the Visceral Games team in Montreal.
