Assassin's Creed: Revelations Lost Archive DLC release date

Boot up the Animus again this month.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations' Lost Archive DLC will be released on 28th February for Xbox 360, Microsoft has just revealed.

The new expansion pack is named in the latest schedule of Xbox Marketplace content, posted on Microsoft mouthpiece Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb's blog. PlayStation 3 and PC release dates will presumably be similar.

Assassin's Creed developer Ubisoft has yet to announce the content, but it is likely the same single-player DLC whose existence was leaked last week.

Achievements for the new add-on seemingly confirm new missions for the game's modern day protagonist Desmond Miles.

A special "Ottoman Edition" of Assassin's Creed: Revelations, apparently packaged with the Lost Archive DLC, was also spotted.

So far Ubisoft has only expanded Assassin's Creed: Revelations via two multiplayer map packs. Lost Archive would be the first (and last?) slice of extra campaign content. Perhaps setting the scene for the newly revealed Assassin's Creed 3?

I bet £5 that it was not "lost"

Its a shame I won't play this as I couldn't even finish the main game! It became to stale for me and the improvements are shocking. Defend the building is sooo shocking.

@MerricK Agreed on the fact that Revelations is the worst in the Ezio series.Picked it up cheap a couple of days ago and its nothing but frustration, basically Ezio does what he wants not what i want him to do.

Heh, probably about as 'lost' as those two forgotten memories from ACII which were soon remembered, along with a price tag of about 7 pounds for the pair.

@Merrick and overcorpse - Definitely the weakest entry but my advice is don't let yourself gain too much notoriety to avoid the tower defence nonsense (please Ubisoft never go near this again, it's absolute rubbish!!) and it makes for a much better game. I played through to the end and found it got better (and once your assassins are maxed out their den can't be attacked again either).

It's a good story though and I thought the ending was very good.

I completed Revelations last night and had to do the Den Defence twice (once the tutorial the other because I was careless with letting my rep get out of hand), it's very easy to avoid.

You know those two entrances in the Black Room that were broken... I bet they are magically fixed now!

@Zombie-Hamster Same. As a game, Revelations was almost embarrassingly bad: tired gameplay; rotten tower defence missions; that annoying, locked town on the world map, where all the multiplayer happened; and the awful repetition of the rooftops, which was much more obvious than any of the earlier games.

And yet I'd go through it all again to watch the cutscenes that tie up the end of all of Ezio and Altair's stories...

@Triggerhappytel well you know what they say, money can help jog a person memory.

So, that's the final two pillars on Animus Island unlocked then?

I find it kinda wierd how one of the achievements wants you to "impress Warren Vidic" though, perhaps it's an AC1 flashback?
