    I want in the BETA :'( I was a massive GVG fan. Played for about 4 years

    @R63xd Thanks for the link

    Just watche dthe Yogscast video and this looks like it'll be a special game.

    Although those cut scenes with the two plastic dolls talking to each other are annoying.

    Delicious. Their artists are on fire!
  • R63xd #6 3 months ago

    @Shikasama Yeah, apparently you dont have to watch those cutscenes, entirely optional :p
  • wayn3h #7 3 months ago

    Easily a goty contender here.. and I've not even played it.
  • WinterSnowblind #8 3 months ago

    @Shikasama Doesn't quite live up to Old Republic in that respect but it's still well above anything other MMO's have in terms of story telling.

    Plus the actual gameplay looks incredible.

    I will be playing this game with no underwear on.

    @WinterSnowblind

    Well it isn't really, it's two cardboard cut outs talking over a generic background. It isn't that much more condusive to story telling than reading an NPC speech.

    Don't mean to sound so negative about it by the way, its just a minor irritation from the videos, I'm happ to skip them and let the people who like them watchn them.

    Tried to get into the beta but never made it :(

    Been a huge huge GW fan since day one and those vids have me giddy as a schoolgirl, this will be beyond epic and is the only game on my radar that genuinely gives me shudders of excitement!

    Female armour as revealing as ever I see.

    Apart from that it looks really stylish and very imaginative. As a non-player of ToR I'm taking this second hand, but wasn't it a complaint that buildings are very boxy and linear?

    @Shikasama

    It does create a bit of a disconnect, and yeah might be annoying - I'm not a fan of cutscene conversations. Great if they're just at key moments, but I like seeing what the people I'm with are doing in the background. I think it breaks the immersion.

    That said, there is a big "Work In Progress" sticker in the corner...

    I actually like it this way, it feels more novelly rather than tv-ey.

    RPGs translate better if they feel bookish epic, imo.
  • Srift #15 3 months ago

    It looks great. But personally I want a sci-fi MMORPG..not enough of them.
  • hiddenranbir #16 3 months ago

    @Srift This has guns and stuff but I know what you mean;

    Hopefully these guys might try for that after this!

    @Kanjin There is a lot of female armour that's not so revealing. You can see plenty of the high tier Guardian armour has them wearing full platemail, without any silly gaps, where as the warrior armour is pretty revealing for both genders, looking more like something a gladiator would wear.

    A lot of the medium armour are long coats as well, so they at least seem to be giving you some options.
