Metal Gear Solid HD Vita uses rear touch pad

Flick to slice an enemy's throat.

The PlayStation Vita version of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will utilise the handheld's rear touch pad controls.

Hideo Kojima, Big Boss of the Metal Gear franchise, shared the news via his official Twitter feed last night, along with a couple of new pictures of the game in action. Well, in menus.

"You can slice enemy's throat with knife if you flick the rear touch pad," Kojima explained.

"If you pinch out left and right on real touch panel with first person camera, you can stretch up yourself," he added.

Presumably by "stretch up yourself" Kojima means switch back to third-person mode OR DOES HE?!

Kojima is currently overseeing voice re-recording work for Metal Gear Solid HD on Vita, due for release later this year.
