Hideo Kojima shows off Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on Vita

Currently re-recording voice over.

Japanese developer legend Hideo Kojima has shown off the Vita version of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

The Kojima Productions boss tweeted the image below, which shows the game's menu screen, with Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty visible. The Vita is sitting on the game's script.

In the same tweet Kojima revealed the development team is currently re-recording voice over work with Sigint voice actor Keiji Fujiwara (translated by Andriasang).

Sigint, real name Donald Anderson, was a member of FOX who helped Snake in Metal Gear Solid 3.

Last year Kojima confirmed the Metal Gear Solid and Zone of the Enders HD Collections would release on Vita in 2012, but we've heard little since.

Sexy! Hope that ZOE remake supports all the new controls, that would be insane.

Kojima should really focus on remaking the first or somehow getting The Twin Snakes in these bundles...That would be one of the best bundles ever...

Would rather wait years foor a remake than have The Twin Snakes.
Anyhoo, been hammering the HD collection all weekend, mgs2 had never looked so good. Aside from ME3 in march this is all I need :)

@AllenSpawn Thanks for the tip. Just pre-ordered mine from Amazon as well. :)

As an aside, I still think the lack of a 3D mode in the PS3 HD collection is a bummer (it would have been a day-1 if it had).

MSG HD Collection already out on PS3 and X360, while I already got the imported version via local independent shop before Xmas, and so am I missing something as to why they can't uses same assets for Vita?

Or is it a particular extra for Vita not available in other ports?

I could be playing four versions of MSG3 on X360, 3DS, Vita and my original PS2?!!

Lovely game but utterly spoiled for choice!

I'm completely torn now, MGS3 on 3DS was one of my most anticipated on the system when it was going to be closer to launch. Mainly as I never played the original because I had sold my PS2 for an XBox 1 when it came out and the port never materialised. However now I don't know whether to jump on the 3DS launch next month with a Circle Pad Pro or hold out for this, where outside of 3D it will likely be the superior version. Arrgh.

Good old Kojima, he's always there supporting a sony hardware launch.

I need to know a date or ill end up giving in to temptation and buying on ps3

@Whitster I'd recommend holding out. I mean I'm going for the present PS3 version because portability isn't so important for something like this, but you should really wait to get the best version you can. There must still be loads of stuff to play till then.

Anyone know the deal with the Vita and your average PSN title?

I'm assuming most of the titles in the future will attempt to run on both PS3 and Vita but would be great if some of my current PSN titles could be transferred over. Got GoW2 sitting in my to play list.

I guess it may struggle a little to run full PS3 games but most PSN titles appear to run within the PS3's limits. Also missing a couple of triggers but not sure they're always used.

@GamesConnoisseur Why would you even buy it for 3DS if you plan on getting it on the Vita?

And if you have the HD collection on PS3 it allows for "Transfarring" between the Vita and the PS3, moving the saves back and forth and earning trophies the same way
