What if they've gone under? What use is the season pass then?

"If you pre-order the game from ShopTo you get the Season Pass free of charge" I've checked the Shopto page and the only bonus advertised is the 'Contender's Fighters Pack' and the 'Early Access Pack' - this is not the season pass.

Why are these all "suggested purchase costs"? Is it like an honesty box? Can we just pretend we paid?

Hey, does anyone else remember when cheats weren't something you had to pay for? And then along came The Godfather to ruin it for everyone.

    I'll pass on the pass

What are you getting with the ultimate fights, ultimate subs, etc? I don't really understand the point. Is it videos? If it's just fights, why can't I just choose Wand and Rampage and go at it?

I'm looking forward to the season pass which grants/unlocks access to each campaign level in monthly increments, all for the bargain sum of £29.99, or 3200 MSP.

Wow, so it's gotten to the stage where you're paying more to play less...

Is it any wonder people stick to one or two franchises these days? Being a completist of your favourite games is an increasingly expensive prospect and no mistake...
  • Shikasama #14 3 weeks ago

Hang on, so the fighters in those packs aren't included with the game I assume?

That's a perennial contender in Joe Lauzon, one of the most promising prospects in the WW division in MacDonald, The most exciting submission artist at 145 and a regular crowd favourite, responsible for some of the best fights in UFC history.

As Dana would say, are you fucking kidding me?
  • midnight_walker #15 3 weeks ago

GSP and Dan Hardy are ultimate rivals? Must have missed that.

    "that's fucking illegal"

why cant they have this content in the fuking game to start with. that is a ridiculous long list of dlc they have planned that could easily ship with the game.

I'm glad I never buy shitty sports games, they are the same game every year.
  • byakuya83 #18 3 weeks ago

i bought that the last 2 games and both had a shockingly poor online mode. the career was incredibly dull and tedious as well. furthermore, the difference between the games was minimal. having a look at this it doesn't seem like much has changed...for the better.

all this dlc and season pass nonsense is an unnecessary faff. i cannot be bothered figuring out what it all means, i'll simply give this game a wide berth.

@midnight_walker I know it's amazing that one of the most boring, one sided title fights in UFC history (GSPLOL)made it on to that list. Just like Cain laying that beat down on Lesnar is considered an upset when anyone with half a clue knew that Lesnar hated getting hit and would get mauled by anyone with any sort of TDD
  • Oskool #20 2 weeks ago

This will only hurt their customers and ultimately the game studios themselves... Meh, bring it on like donkey kong. =)
