Sonic games, DLC release on PC today

Three dollops of Sonic the Hedgehog content will be available to download on PC from today, following the release of Sonic Generations last month, Sega has announced.

No specific digital download platforms were mentioned, but presumably the usual gaggle of Steam and others are included.

If you're only just old enough to buy a pint, you probably won't remember Sonic CD, a game released on the technologically astonishing Mega CD back in 1993. It used disks and everything and saved to memory.

Sonic Generations DLC Casino Night Pinball Stage is the second offering in the line-up, while PC players can now also get their hands on Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 1.

Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 2 will launch on PC later this year, Sega also said.

I've not played Sonic CD, but have heard only good things about it. I remember spending a few months during my teens wanting nothing on Earth more than a MegaCD. I remember saving up my money bit by bit for it. And then at the last moment deciding to buy a CD-ROM drive for my PC instead (for Rebel Assault).

On reflection, of course, I made absolutely the right decision (the CD-ROM drive, not Rebel Assault). But it did mean I missed Sonic CD, which I've always regretted. Nice to have a chance to pick it up now. The other two I'm less fussed about. Played a bit of Sonic 4 ep 1 on the 360 - loved the first level, hated the rest.

I think everyone will already have this on their phones/consoles already...poor PC is always the last to get things like this. =/

I literally just bought Sonic CD on PSN yesterday. Great game, I would however have waited if I'd known they were planning this. Nevermind It's good that they are supporting the PC.

Come 6pm (UK time) Steam should hopefully update game library with new arrivals of Sonic CD and Sonic 4 EP1

Really, really hoping the Casino Night DLC isn't the only additional content Generations will get, The more I play it, the more I love it. Marble Zone and Metal Harbour please!
