GAME-has-been-hacked rumour "entirely false"

"There has been no breach of our database."

Retailer Game hasn't been hacked - the rumour circulating around the internet this afternoon is "entirely false".

"We have thoroughly investigated the hacking claims made today by the website Pastebin, and can confirm that they are entirely false."

"At Game we guard our customers' details very carefully," wrote spokesperson Anna-Marie Mason wrote on Game's Facebook wall.

"We have thoroughly investigated the hacking claims made today by the website Pastebin, and can confirm that they are entirely false.

"The published email addresses are not registered users of GAME.co.uk, and there has been no breach of our database security.

"We would like to assure all our customers that their details are well protected, and advise anyone who has any questions to contact our customer services team via the website, our Facebook page or Twitter account."

I'm sure they didn't. Game a fucking snide snakes and dont trust them. their customer service is wank, i remember when they had server issues, didnt reply to any of my message or calls for months.. took weeks for games to come, cancled my preordered yet they still were taking my money and not sending.. theyre expensive shit anyway so i go else where

I first noticed this on Facebook; ShopTo.net's page no less! I initially put it down to some crafty "We're really great and GAME suck" style promotion by ShopTo.net but I changed my password regardless. One can't be too careful these days.

Anybody can post any old made up stuff to pastebin (which routinely occurs), so unless somebody steps forward and demonstrates that their account details were present in that list, I think you should take Game at their word.

I don't get the love for supermarket game prices and hate for game/gamestation. When I look at the game prices in the supermarkets they are generally terrible, really bad, when I look in game and gamestation there is normally some offers to be had and they have some great online deals like the current BOGOF deal where you could buy a game for �3.99 and get another free �3.99 game from gamestation.

There are lots of companies to hate in this world, companies that exploit people, damage the environment, cause illnesses in people, or maybe inflict horrible cruelty on animals etc. Companies like Nestle, Samsung, loreal, walmart and many other big corporations.

Maybe its just me but if Game is too expensive or doesn't offer a good trade in value I go elsewhere.
