Dead Island Ryder White DLC release date, price

Play as he, the game's villain.

Dead Island expands on 1st February with new story content that lets you play as Ryder White, the main game's chief antagonist.

For 800 Microsoft Points or Ł7.99 on PSN and Steam, you'll see first-hand the motivations of White - a military man and "loving" husband.

This new story content has twists and turns and should last "several" hours.

There are two new blueprints and weapons to collect.

@Fruit-Salad "Play as he, the game's villain" somewhat gives it away without clicking the link.

Loads of people I know have picked this up recently now it's under Ł20 and would probably prefer not to know who the baddie is just yet.

Although if we're going to be brutally honest, it's patently obvious very early on that he's nothing but a great big troll. It's a genre cliche he's more than happy to fill.

That said, DLC as White is interesting, if for no other reason than I'd like to see the other side of the story. Who knows, maybe it will be sympathetic and depict him as a wayward man who tried to do the right thing in very difficult circumstances?

Y'know. Because I'd like there to be more to White than trollolololol.

Very silly of the person responsible to put that in the subheading. It doesn't take much. Most internet forum posters, let alone professional writers, are aware enough to think that if a character is not revealed as the villian until the end of the game to be extra careful with either spoiler alerts or saying nothing about it in the first place.
