Resident Evil: Revelations StreetPass details

Herb it through the grapevine.

3DS scare-fest Resident Evil: Revelations will support StreetPass functionality, Capcom has announced.

Players will be able to exchange items for use in the game's campaign, as well as unlock new monsters and levels for the co-operative Raid mode (thanks, Nintendo Life).

Revelations players can collect helpful in-game items when passing other 3DS owners of the game. These bits and pieces can then be dropped into the game's story mode by selecting a parachute icon.

Then in Raid mode, which remixes areas for co-operative missions, StreetPassing will unlock further locations and tougher enemies.

Resident Evil: Revelations launches in the UK on 27th January. It's the first game to support the 3DS Circle Pad Pro expansion, which arrives on the same day.

A bloody Resident Evil: Revelations viral video.

"Top strapline work there old boy"

    I have to second that.
I couldn't care less about the actual game.

Can't wait for this to arrive though I doubt I'll get it launch day since it's coming from Zavvi.

I never seem to get StreetPasses in London, not even if I go to Game on Oxford Street, bloody southerners

I think StreetPass is awesome if you can get it, but like a lot of good ideas the execution - and sometimes likelihood of finding someone with the same game wedged in their 3DS on your trip around the shops - is pretty slim most of the time. Which means any extra additions they made benefit the minority, not the majority.

I've had mine since launch and I've met 12 people through it, a few of them multiple times, but that's kind of the issue, isn't it?

I'm sure for Japan it's amazing, but culturally I think here in the UK sometimes the odds of getting the right person with the right game at the right time are pretty slim, which means sadly I may never see these new locations - or the harder challenges.

And that makes me a little sad. I think a little SpotPass love is called for so many don't miss out.

I don't think you need to have the same game in your 3ds physically. For StreetPass the 3DS always creates extra saves and I think it scans for every game you own that uses StreetPass.

Here in Germany there are some Facebook Streetpass groups evolving. Seperate groups for a lot of cities. I don't use Facebook, but read about a meeting in my hometown Berlin. I strolled by and collected Miis, Super Mario and Freakyforms data. I'd think that such a group must surely exist in London!?

    If not, create one! :)
