Voice actor's resumé spills the beans.

Resident Evil 6 - or some of it at least - takes place in China, judging by the CV of a voice actor claiming to have worked on the as-yet-unannounced sequel.

As spotted by The Silent Chief, voice actor Wendy Mok's EWP profile states that she plays a "Chinese villager/zombie" in the game.

Capcom has yet to officially confirm Resident Evil 6 is on the way. Spin-off console shooter Operation Raccoon City and 3DS outing Resident Evil: Revelations are both due out early next year.

Capcom's survival horror series is no stranger to globe-trotting - 2009's Resident Evil 5 took place in Africa, where as Resident Evil 4 was set in an undefined European locale.

Let's hope it goes back to it's gritty roots, all i want from this is a real survival horror game that packs some mean puzzles and also brings on that sense of dread not knowing what's round that next corner!

Ah yes, the good old, unknown European location where everone speaks Spanish and the currency is Pesetas.

I am really interested to see what Capcom will do with RE6. RE4 was absolutely fantastic even if it was a huge step away from the traditional RE formula (looking back I think it was the right decision). RE5 left me absolutely cold, I didn't even get it. I don't think Capcom will get away with another RE4 clone set in a different country - I'd love to see a cross between the atmosphere and slightly eerie paranoia from early RE titles and the modern RE4 gameplay. Make the main character a lot less trigger happy and not totally overpowered and we're good. The suspension was lost as soon as you realized that a single zombie is not a threat anymore; I think RE should not be about being able to rely on your guns. They should be the last resort and that's it.

I know that Capcom can do this, the section in the abandoned hospital with the regenerators really captured what I valued so much in early RE titles - seriously being afraid to go around the next corner because you know that all your weapons are basically useless.

I hope they head north at some point and have zombie Innuit. I hate those spooky ice-hole fishing bastards and want an Eskimo murder-simulator to help me sleep at night.

Seriously though they took everything that keeps me replaying RE4 out of it for RE5, the inventory tetris, the merchant, the lack of Whesker. I firmly believe a series can live past it's initial villain. I don't want to see Whesker again. He died in the first game!

Given that this game will in all likelihood be developed by a Japanese studio, I'd go as far as to say, perhaps more so than RE4 and 5, that the potential outrage over racism may be totally justified:
