Purple dildo kills 2 million in Saints Row: The Third

THQ celebrates by launching stat-tracking site.

Saints Row: The Third's famed IED (Inspirational Erotic Device) has dispatched more than two million Steelport citizens since launch, publisher THQ has revealed.

The rather troubling figure ties into the announcement that the game's stat-tracking site is now live and ready for your perusal. You'll be able to keep tabs on your in-game accomplishments, see how you rank against the rest of the community and view a map of Steelport updated in real time.

The map lets you keep up to date all in-game activity, leave hints for the rest of the community, and upload your screenshots and tag them to a specific location.

THQ offered up a few other gameplay stats. Apparently 5.8 billion Steelport citizens have been dispatched in total, users have spent a cumulative total of two years running around the streets in their birthday suits and 44 million pimps, gimps and prostitutes have been seen off in Whored Mode.

The volition-developed sequel launched earlier this month, picking up a solid 7/10 from Eurogamer.

"It's still a cynical slice of dirty fun, but the most damning aspect of Saints Row: The Third is that where the all-important lulz are concerned, there's precious little here that you couldn't already do in Saints Row 2," read Dan Whitehead's Saints Row: The Third review.
