Nintendo 3DS game Zoo Keeper 3D spotted

Either it's real, or HMV Japan is Lion.

Nintendo 3DS game Zoo Keeper 3D has been spotted in Japan.

A poster, spotted by French site Wiiz, emerged first.

Now HMV Japan lists the game for 3DS. Apparently Zoo Keeper 3D has eight game modes including quest, score attack and online.

HMV asks 3990 yen (Ł33) for the game.

Zoo Keeper was released six years ago on DS. It has the same puzzle-guts as Bejeweled, but swaps glistening jewels for cutesy animal faces.

Far more puzzling than the game itself is the reason why I enjoyed it so much. It's such a basic concept but oh so addictive. I haven't played it in a while so I wouldn't mind buying the 3ds version to give it another go.

Bejeweled and its variants are the Pringles of gaming. Either you can't stop once you've started (or 'pop' as the kids put it), or you find the taste of reconstituted potato substance and chemical flavourings a bit lacking in nourishment and go in search of something more edifying.

Neg me all you like, and I do hate to get like this, but seriously - in what world is this worth Ł30+? Especially when the iOS version (true, with no 3D and stripped of several game modes) is only 69p.

Agreed. Fine game but you'd have to really hate your money to buy it at this price. Hell, an iPad would pay for itself after a few games vs tolerating prices like this.

@Murbal do you get a box, a manual and a cartridge when buying the iOS Version? No? Thought so.

Box, manual etc. costs money, delivering these games to shops costs money etc.

besides that, the 3DS version will still work in the year 2050 when the AppStore is shut down

iOS version is great. There's no way I'll cough up for a full price version of this. Much like the lolworthy pricing of the 3DS tetris. 24.99
