Home offline, Killzone 3 affected.
A number of PlayStation 3 games will be unavailable to play online next Tuesday due to a fresh round of scheduled maintenance, Sony has announced.
The downtime will last from 6am to midday next Tuesday, 15th November, a post on the official EU PlayStation forums has revealed.
Home, Buzz, Motorstorm.com and Wipeout HD will be completely unavailable during this time.
DanceStar Party, Singstar, Killzone 3, SOCOM: Confrontation and SOCOM: FTB3 should still be available but will "suffer reduced capacity".
There may be additional downtime after to allow for further testing, Sony warned.
Sony did not mention what was being tested during the outage.
Chilling on the deck.

While this display of supply-demand, and how the consumerist drones flock to what is shiny and rare, was rather cathartic, I did end up quitting it without ever looking back.
Then at a later date when my curiosity was aroused by some article, I noticed I had about 25 pending updates, which would take anywhere from a typical hero's journey to a lifetime to download, I just quit and decided to ignore the entire thing.
I did chuckle a little at the prospect of a line of impatient kids a mile long all waiting for their go with the single RC car. If they'd add some mazes or some sites of exploration I may be inclined to once return. Not as of yet though.

Try actually playing it again.

In fairness, I'd rather they bother to "maintain" things (whatever that is) than not.
