Ezio Auditore spotted in Soulcalibur 5
The cameos begin.
The hooded star of Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood, Ezio Auditore, is strongly rumoured to be a playable character in Soulcalibur 5.
Joystiq was anonymously sent a picture from "a recent fighting tournament" of Ezio on the character select screen in Soulcalibur 5.
Soulcalibur has a history of guest-fighter cameos. Soulcalibur 4 famously featured Darth Vader and Yoda.
Soulcalibur 5 will have at least 26 characters, according to Project Soul.

It appears "poorly judged and utterly misguided" was lost after the word "history".

Just checking...

That said, this is Namco, so it wouldn't be surprising if they announced that the other guest characters were Solid Snake and Captain Kirk.

What!? Seriously? Negs because it's a random hooded renaissance man in a game set in the renaissance? Jesus... It could very well be a new character with a similar look!

I negged you because you edited your post to cry about being negged.

Fair cop, I should probably care less about the negs, but I was just trying to explain myself really. I thought the point was perfectly valid.

That type of hood (with the distinct V in the centre) is an Ubisoft invention for the Assassin's Creed series. As well as that, the character looks like Ezio (as he appears in Revelations) and has the same facial hair.
Either Namco and Ubisoft have an agreement for Ezio to be in Soul Calibur, and this is him, or else Namco are going to find themselves on the losing end of a quick legal action, because there's no mistaking that character for anyone but Ezio.

So that means Ezio will be the first "guest" character in the Soul Calibur that actually kind of fits in based on fighting style and the game's setting.
Link fit perfectly into SCIII.

I'll assume that you mean SCII...but I'll have to disagree with you on that one. Remember, please, that I said not just fighting style (it's arguable whether Link's fighting style really fits Soul Calibur), but also the game's setting. That one is not arguable: Link doesn't fit. Link, as a character, fits into 16th Century Europe about as well as I would.
