Halo: Anniversary Achievements listed

Plus: more Halo: Reach Gamerscore coming.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition's achievement list has popped up online, courtesy of Xbox360Achievements.

Unlike Forza 4, which features a Kinect-only achievement, Halo: Anniversary does not force completists to own Microsoft's motion-sensing peripheral.

The usual mix of progression and collection rewards feature alongside tougher challenges such as escaping "The Maw" on Legendary with at least a minute left.

Previous Halo title Reach will also soon receive new Achievements. Bungie's final Halo game will be updated with six original Halo: Combat Evolved multiplayer maps courtesy of new Halo developer 343 Industries.

An as-yet unknown quantity of fresh batch of awards will accompany the forthcoming DLC pack, 343's David Ellis confirmed in a recent tweet.

Although i'm looking forward to this (because it looks like they've made a bit of effort), all these re-releases are rather cynical money spinners aren't they?

I wish i had the time to play all the new releases never mind going back through the classics, damn my fertile loins.

I can't wait for this. The PISTOL is back in HD! :D
  • Nismo400R84 #7 7 months ago

Why are you a mug for buying the same game ? Halo:CE on xbox was brilliant ,and now add better graphics and mp

When this come out i hope its around the £25 or less cos for me that would be insta buy
  • darkmorgado #8 7 months ago

Can't wait, had it on preorder for months.

Unlike most of the so called "HD remakes", this one actually has a shitload of effort poured into it.

Could be tough, but i don't care. I'll be playing the campaign for months! Just like ten years ago.

    fuck it... make it years!
Finished the campaign on legendary with a friend not too long ago, and had the best time with it. It still felt fresh, fun and exciting as it did back then, when I first jumped into the universe in awe. This is the game I have been waiting for. This is my favorite.. game.. ever.. of all time (RvB).

Bloody facelift bar..what does that even mean??
  • Colvin #13 7 months ago

    @Kinky and Nismo

I pre ordered it this morning from Sainsburys Entertainment for £23. There's an offer of 20% off any game with new accounts. Worth checking out.
  • metalangel #14 7 months ago

For what it's worth, you don't need to own a Kinect for that achievement, you just need access to one, via a friend perhaps. That's how I did it. The achievement pops the moment you're on the track using Kinect to steer.

Hell, befriend the guys in your local game store and you might be able to do it on their Kinect demo setup.

I'll Be Taking That! (25) - Pilot a Banshee on the level "Assault on the Control Room."

Hmm now is that the level you can get a banshee by firing a rocket onto that ladge before an AI is spawned into it with a checkpoint?
Hoping they kept all the little exploits/glitches that made it so much fun.

Alos loving the last one mentioned where you have to have a minute left on the countdown, thats gonna be a real bastard to do as iirc on legendary the quickest i ever did it was to have about 25 seconds so either the layout has changed a little or you have to do the perfect drive, either way its gonna be alot of fun finding out :D
  • kinky_mong #16 7 months ago

@Colvin: Cheers, I saw it mentioned in the Bargains Thread but I've got a horrible feeling Sainsburys will cancel the offer once all the Hot UK Deals vulture-twats abuse it.

I like these achievments. Love Halo and going for the full 1000gs is going to be a pain, frustrating and above all....unforgettable! I still remember going for the Odst firefight Endure and Deja Vu. Halos have had some fun achievements and this looks no different. Bring It!!!!

"no online achievements, is the online part in halo reach. confused"

new achievements coming up for the new maps if you read the article....
  • chrisjm #20 7 months ago

yea i read the article, new maps for reach. but this is halo anniversary.
i have both so doesnt matter, but what if someone doesnt have reach.
  • SpeckledJim #21 7 months ago

As I understand it, H:A will come with Reach compatible MP. They are also making the H:A MP maps available separately for those that have Reach, but don't want H:A campaign.
