Silent Hill: Downpour delayed

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection still TBC.

Silent Hill: Downpour has been delayed, Konami has confirmed to Eurogamer.

It launches during the first quarter of 2012 - so at some point January to March.

Downpour, the eighth Silent Hill game, was due out in November on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Czech developer Vatra is at the helm. The story follows convict Murphy Pendleton who begins the game lost and alone in the woods on the outskirts of Silent Hill when his prison transport bus crashes.

Meanwhile, Konami reiterated to Eurogamer that the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is still without a release date - despite reports of its delay.

The game is reportedly due out Q2 2012 in Europe.
