FarmVille movie in the works
Toy Story scribes to adapt Zynga cash cow?
A movie based on Zynga's social gaming behemoth FarmVille could be heading to the big screen, according to an IGN report.
Apparently Alec Sokolow and Joel Cohen, the writing duo behind Pixar landmark Toy Story and upcoming Activision kids' game Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, are in talks to pen the script.
"We are also working on several new and very exciting opportunities," replied one of the pair when asked about their future plans.
"We're in conversations with Zynga to do something with one of their brands. Can't really say too much on that front yet, but 'Old MacDonald' didn't have a factory, if you get our drift."

I also hope there's a climatic scene in which Farmer Segal drives his Combine Harvester through the HQ of the evil corporation to the soundtrack of a Segal cover of the Wurzels.
Preferably it should feature Billy Murray as the evil head of the evil corporation and Craig Fairbrass as his henchman.
It should also star Megan Fox as Daisy, the cow Farmer Segal loves but doesn't fully realise the depth of his love until Daisy is taken to the evil corporation's slaughterhouse, which is the pivotal point in the film which turns Segal from a mild mannered bumpkin into a gun toting badass.

How can people look seriously at this kind of capitalism and say it's not killing the world in every way?

Hollywood is over. Games based on computer games are bad enough, even when there's a decent story to butcher. F*cking Battleships, Monopoly movies this year, and now this? It'd be a great joke if it wasn't true. The studios are officially beyond parody.

Fuck off. Toy Story was written by Joss Whedon.

They did a movie about the creation of Facebook and the people behind it, not Facebook itself. What they're talking about here is making a movie based on one of Zynga's actual brands, not necessarily the creation of said brand.
This movie will go in one of two directions - it will either be a completely steaming pile of horse manure, or it will be astounding. I don't see it managing to be a middle-of-the-road, 'alright' kind of thing. But I don't really care, as I won't be watching it either way.
