Ubisoft announces Rabbids TV show
Nickelodeon picks up 26 episodes.
An animated Rabbids TV series is coming to Nickelodeon in 2013, Ubisoft has announced.
The publisher's shrill party game critters will star in 26 half hour episodes on the well-known kids' channel or, if you live in France, 78 seven minute shorts via France Television.
The series is being produced by the publisher's recently announced film and TV arm, Ubisoft Motion Pictures.
"As the world's most recognised entertainment brand for children and families, Nickelodeon is the perfect vehicle to share the zany Rabbids characters and their crazy adventures with television audiences around the globe," commented Ubisoft Motion Pictures CEO Jean-Julien Baronnet.
"This partnership represents a major milestone in Ubisoft's strategy to expand its brands to new media, thereby attracting new audiences to its games."
The next Rabbids game down the pipe is Kinect-enabled effort Raving Rabbids: Alive & Kicking, due out on Xbox 360 on 1st November.
